After a long hiatus we are back in the studio, relaunching with The Unfinished New Edition EP. Experiments with hard breaks, bass, lyrics, and the drive to push ourselves further as musicians were the primary focus for this one. This whole release revolves around a song we had made in early 2008, entitled How The Fuck Did We Get Here?. A darker tune in a style that was alot different than any tunes we had made before. Anyways, we had a shitload of fun making this and hope you enjoy. Coming up we have another Gluttonius Ep and How The Fuck Did We Get Here? remixes. Photo is by Scott Hankinson.
S2: Infinite Increments Record Release Party
The limited edition release of The Unfinished New Edition (T.U.N.E.) is on November 28th, and with less than a week before the show, it’s crunchtime for Coyopa and I. We are in the final stages of mixing and mastering the five tracks that will encompass the T.U.N.E. project, reaching completion with each edit, tweak, and added effect. We will be giving out 50 rare, hand numbered copies of the project along with a rare high quality vinyl sticker bearing the Dodidium logo. Come out and support Underground music at Suzy’s, 1141 Prospect, Hermosa Beach, on November 28th and get a couple free CD’s. If you can’t make it, it will be available to download on this very site one week following the show on December 5th. Cop a copy as soon as you can!

The Unfinished New Edition…
The recording sessions for The Unfinished New Edition have been coming along great. We have four of the five songs recorded, and they’re coming out to be some of the best work Coyopa and I have done together, up to this point. The themes of TUNE are similar to the other material Coyopa and I have released, such as anti-establishment social awareness, but what I’m focused on with my writing is stemmed from the inspiration of the break-beat style drums Coyopa has dilligently crafted. I therefore try to achieve a percussiveness extended from the instrumental, while retaining melodic rhyme schemes, interwoven into the beat like ill maintained ivy onto majestic wrought iron. The recordings will be done in two weeks, then editing, mixing and mastering, up until the day of the limited edition release on November 28 at Suzy’s for S2’s anticipated Infinite Increments record release party. The album will be available to download for free on dodidium.wordpress.com the following week on December 5, but if you’re in the neighborhood, come by and get a copy of S2’s Infinite Increments and one of the rare hand made fifty copies of the TUNE EP available only on this night!

Celebrating the Dodidium relaunch, we bring you our first release in a long ass time, The Unfinished New Edition. A 5 song Ep from myself & Gluttonius Monk that will be availible to download at the end of November. If you want to hear it ahead of time or your one of our homies who wants a copy, we’ll be giving out cds’ to the first 50 heads at S2s’ record release party, so come though and get one. Follwing this Ep will be another Gluttonius Monk project, this time teaming up with his brother Dj Saul Weber. We are really excited for both of these and begininng new projects for 2010………

Getting together for S2’s solo cd. Althought it’s not a Dodidium release, were stoked to help him with the cd & the party. We have a phat collaboe in the works with S2, so hold tight.
Also this night, we’re going to have cd’s for the first 50 heads of Gluttonius Monks forthcoming EP, The Unfinished New Edition. So all the homies & everyone will get a chance to hear it before comes out online the following week.
